The Meeker Farmers Market (MFM) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the variety, freshness, taste and nutritional value of foods available in the Meeker area. Our goal is to encourage people to value how their food was produced and to understand how important fresh, local foods are to their health. We would like to provide an opportunity for local farmers and consumers to deal directly with each other, rather than through third parties, and to thereby get to know and learn from one another. We also seek to provide an educational forum for consumers to learn the uses and benefits of quality, locally grown or prepared food products. A successful Farmers Market will enhance the quality of life in the Greater Meeker Area by providing access to fresh, locally grown produce and by creating a community activity which fosters social gathering and interaction.
The purpose of these Rules is to guide the operation, administration and management of the MFM. These Rules may be revised or amended by the Market Board with or without notice. The Board reserves the right to make exceptions at its discretion. In issuing rules, it is not our intent to burden participants, but to ensure the smooth operation of the Market. MFM management will strive to implement and enforce all Rules and Regulations pertaining to the operation of the Market in a fair and equitable manner. We welcome suggestions for ways to improve the Market.
